hormonal balance

Symptoms such as weight gain, depression, migraines, sleep disorders, cycle
disorders, subfertility, hair loss and skin disorders are possible consequences of
hormonal imbalance.

Hormonal balance

what does this mean?

Our hormones are subject to natural fluctuations and this is healthy. "Hormonal balance" therefore always describes a dynamic balance; a harmonious up and down. The female body is particularly characterized by hormonal changes. When we are in balance, we feel these changing phases, e.g. during the menstrual cycle or the menopause. The phases change smoothly and we don't tip over into one extreme. We gain weight and lose it again, we are awake and can sleep well, symptoms come and go.

Why should I care about my hormones?

Our hormone system plays a role in pretty much all processes in our body. Small changes in this system can cause a wide variety of symptoms. The many possible side effects of the contraceptive pill illustrate this very well. Symptoms such as PMS, weight gain, depression, migraines, loss of libido, sleep disorders, cycle disorders, subfertility, restlessness, hot flushes, hair loss, skin disorders and digestive problems are just a few examples of possible symptoms of hormonal imbalance.

Is hormonal imbalance now the cause of everything?

Just as our diet plays a role in various areas of our health, our hormonal system also has an influence on almost all processes in our body. Just like nutritional therapy, hormonal balance is not the solution for every symptom, but as long as something is wrong here, other therapeutic efforts are often not really successful. This is why this area should be considered and looked at. Sometimes the symptom picture is sufficient to conclude a hormonal cause (e.g. in the case of PMS), in other cases a laboratory diagnostic determination of hormone levels can be informative.
